I slipped away on silent paws,
A whisper lost without a cause.
No meow, no cry, no long goodbye
Just stardust fading to the sky.

I wander now through fields of light,
Where shadows play, no fear of night.
Among soft souls I pause and rest,
In gentle lands where all are blessed.

The sun drips gold on branches high,
I chase the breeze, then stretch and sigh.
I leap, I spin, I pounce with grace,
No barriers here, just endless space.

So when the stillness finds your bed,
And tears fall soft with sadness shed,
Feel me curled beside your skin,

A warmth to carry peace within.
I am the shadow at your feet,
The echo where our heartbeats meet.
Until from this earth you depart
Know, I am forever, within your heart.
